Meet the mat, the breath and the group. We set posture, contact points and a pace that never feels rushed.
Your first class
Nothing is rushed and nothing is left unexplained. Here is the shape of your first session, from the moment you walk in to the last resting pose.
Your mat is already laid out. The instructor asks how your body feels that day, and you change at your own pace.
Five quiet minutes lying or sitting still, feeling the breath and the contact of your back with the floor.
Slow floor work: spine rolls, hip circles, small shoulder movements. This is where body awareness starts.
Standing poses and standing Pilates sequences, broken into small steps. Hands-on guidance only when it helps.
Gentle stretches, then guided rest. You leave with two or three things to notice during the week.
Program overview
Eight weeks, two sessions a week, six people per class. Each stage builds on the last, so you always know what you are working on and why.
Meet the mat, the breath and the group. We set posture, contact points and a pace that never feels rushed.
Link breath to slow spinal movement and learn where you hold tension, without judging it.
Foot placement, weight distribution and stacking the joints, so upright work starts to feel stable.
Sustained standing poses with support options. Small corrections, longer holds, a quiet room.
Seated and reclined positions build strength through the centre without straining the neck.
You learn to move from the trunk. Small ranges, precise control and cues you can repeat alone.
Sequences arrive. Breath stays steady as transitions smooth out and you set your own pace.
A full session with lighter guidance, plus a short home routine and a clear next step.

No. The eight-week beginner program assumes you have never stepped on a mat. The opening weeks cover foundational techniques such as breathing, spinal alignment and simple transitions, before any shape is layered on top.
Something you can move and breathe in comfortably. Bare feet or grip socks both work. Mats, blocks and straps are provided, so bring water and a small towel if you like.
Sessions are capped at six people. That limit lets the instructor watch each shoulder line and spine, and correct a movement before it settles into a habit.
Flexibility is an outcome, not a prerequisite. Working with controlled movement inside your current range teaches body awareness faster than reaching for depth.
The full eight-week block and single-class rates are listed on our pricing section. Reserve your place through the booking form and we will confirm your group.
One missed session can be made up in a parallel beginner group during the same week. Message the studio beforehand and we will find a slot that keeps your progression intact.
